Our Dual Focus: Legacy and Opportunity

Legacy

Our past shapes our future, and we’re honored to carry on Paul Lammermeier’s mission and legacy. Think of Paul’s mission as the “Why”—the big-picture goal of improving lives, the reason we’ve been able to help more than 75 young people to date. Now we’re hard at work on the long-term “How”—implementing a three-year strategic plan to carry on his legacy.

Opportunity

Female students in Peru are 10% less likely than males to complete secondary education, and thus less likely to go on to postsecondary education as well. Our current facility, Casa Teresa, houses girls under age 18. A new house allows us to provide the same opportunity for our young women that we do for our young men: pursuing postsecondary studies while being supported in a loving, family environment until they can step out and succeed on their own.
