Bio Casa Ignacio House

Ignacio

Ignacio Salinas (“Nacho”)
(14 years old) – has lived in the Casa Ignacio for a year. He lived with his parents in the mountain province of Abancay until he was four years old, when his father died.  His mother then abandoned her four children, who, in turn, were farmed out to the father’s family who lived in Lima.  When he was five or six years old, he was put into the same orphanage run by the Sisters of Charity where some of our other boys had lived.  He was a resident there for eight years.  All of his elementary schooling was in a parochial school nearby the orphanage.  He did well in his first year of high school.  He has grown considerably and loves to eat.
